Dr. Gene and Alice Burge - BMFP

Gene Burge, President of Baptist Missions of Forgotten People Inc., and his wife Alice can only describe the last 2 months as jet lag. They flew to Cartegena, Columbia for meetings. The church they taught and met in has started 5 other churches in a city of over 1 million people. When Brother Alberto and Nelcy Gomez arrived 13 years ago, there was no Independent Baptist Church in the city. All these churches were started without American finances. The Burges then flew to Gum to run a Faith Promise Giving seminar at The Family Baptist Church, made up of both Guamanians an US Military. The church has bought land and is now working to build their own building. Pray that the Burges have good health and strength for all this travel.
