Pastor Appiah wrote about a little boy named Kwabena Gyamfi. His mother suffers from a mental illness that is not treated in West Africa, and his father is the town drunk. The little 3 year olds life was being ruined because he didn't get food and things we take for granted. Pastor Appiah asked the older brother of this drunken man to talk to him about putting his little boy in their orphanage. This time, since it would cost him nothing, he agreed. Ms. Carolyn Pabst adopted Pastor Steve Volante as her missionary and he has the orphanage. She contacted him and is collecting money, during Sunday school time, for clothes for the orphans. Praise God this little boy is getting the care he needs

Pastor Samuel Appiah asks for prayer for his girls in school. Tina suffers from asthma. Vester has a very bad back. They are looking at a second back operation. Hopefully next month he can get her to a neuro surgeon. He writes, "My dear wife still wears the back brace and has had it for more than two years. It has spoiled and she ties it together with string in order for it to be able to hold her back." We have three missionaries wit medical needs (Zwingles, Woods, and Appiahs) and one with physical safety concerns (Moores). We are in spiritual war. PRAY!

Pastor Steve Volante has asked me to accompany him on a Mission trip to Liberia in October this year and I will be sending details of it in a future mail. God has blessed me with a message on Drawing Near to God and on Wednesday I am preaching on Proverbs called Be Wise. These series of messages have been very well received. Please pray for the mission trip to Liberia.

Samuel and Vester write that they covet our prayers for results from their open air service. It was a Ground Breaking Ceremony with invitations to many people to join them. The Good News of Salvation was given out. Please pray that many will be saved. Also, pray for Vester's back problems. The doctors will decide if she needs an operation or not.
